I'm Thornleaf... a name I acquired many years ago, back when I was an avid AD&D (First Edition) gamer and consistently played druids... Thornleaf was a compromise between the nature of my characters and the nature of MY character, if you know what I mean. And if you don't, it's probably for the best.
I stumbled into alt.vampyres... oh... some time in 1997, I think. What drew me there? I have no idea. I've passed through a few other newsgroups over the years, but that one drew me in. Then, of course, later that year came an assignment for a fourth year anthropology course I was taking, in which I was to write an ethnography of an online community - and where better to do this than a.v, I asked myself... I got an 'A' on the paper, and sealed my fate - I've been around ever since. Though these days I tend to lurk much more than post, and appear much more frequently in a.v's demented offspring - alt.vampyres.flap.flap.flap
